Dear friends,
Sometimes I feel that within our waiting we begin to settle for less in our dreams. We start bargaining with the Lord, "Ok, this may not be possible anymore, but I would at least take this." Or maybe we don't even bargain, we just resolve to letting our dreams diminish.
But, I have felt the Lord say > > IMAGINE MORE.
WHEW. Yes, I am guilty of the above, and in the past year I have felt the Lord gently confront this thing I have done and let me know that //
// He is in the business of making dreams happen
// He is the ORIGINAL dreamer - he can out-dream us any day...
// It is in His nature to fulfill PROMISES, and it is his ultimate joy to do so.
Will our dreams look exactly like what we imagine them to be - No. I don't think so. I think that is already proved in most of our lives. But will they be more than we can hope or imagine.... ABSOLUTELY YESS!!! I think that our minds are too small to know just how glorious life can be; our hope poorly lacking (deeply trying to remain but wilting like a half-dead flower). And that God's dreams are so much greater for us than we have imagined. I think he wants us to IMAGINE MORE.
I don't think we should necessarily relinquish our hope completely to the future or what "could be" either. I think the Lord is asking us to IMAGINE MORE in our everyday lives as well. To let Him paint greater color into it. It is there - because even now, we are in His hands.
Go ahead... dream greater. Let the glory of God fill your imagination and feel the blessing of His hand on your life.
You might be in a season of transition, or life may have turned upside down on you. I encourage you not to blame the circumstances but believe that God is moving things to make way for your dreams. He does truly have your life in His hands. And He will take care of you.
Like the colors in this bouquet - There are so many facets to our journey. Magenta is not just magenta. It is also lavender and jasmine and blue. It needs colors like gold and honey to bring out the richness. And we need faith-filled warriors to breath life into our dreams - to help us to imagine more.
Oh darling, I hope that your soul is awakened and the colors of your dreams come alive to you again. Don't be afraid to ask God for a paintbrush.
