Love - Sarah & Ryne's Wedding

I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Maine this weekend for a quick trip to attend a dear friends wedding. Sarah and I attended the same ministry in Texas when we were fresh out of high school and where we would spend the next four years. Both of our lives were impacted forever and amidst that journey we, along with many beautiful people, developed a deep bond.

Sarah was my roommate the first year at Teen Mania and I got the special opportunity to realize the treasure that she is. I love and respect her greatly. It was so incredible to see her get married this weekend to a wonderful man whom she has entrusted her heart to.

Winding Down on a Friday Evening

Hello there friends. It's Friday! Time to wind down for the weekend. This is how I chose to after a hectic (yet exhilarating ;)) work week, taking a bath.

So, are you ready... let's wind down...

Are you relaxed already?

I'm heading out to a dear friends wedding this weekend on a jet trip to Maine! Fly in Saturday morning, fly out Sunday morning. Before I started packing, I had to start winding down! It's going to be a great weekend. (I promise I'll share some pictures! What are you doing to prepare for a great weekend?

My tips for an extra relaxing bath:

   - A drop or two of Essential Oil (The scents have healing qualities and smell ohhh so good!).
   - Natural soaps (they give off the best scents)
   - Bath Salts - relaxing qualities and good scents
   - Light a candle, turn the lights down

Peach Pie and Late Summer

It's quite late in the peach season.. I missed the prime of it, but thankfully I snatched a few up at Troyer's Market last Friday and this is my evening project tonight - Fresh Peach Pie!

I just love slicing into a peach.... smells like heaven and tastes like it too! The aesthetics of a peach are so exhilarating - I love that sunrise palette from orange to red, especially the bright red center around the pitt! And of course you can't leave the experience without sticky hands!

I also love this time of day. There's a certain amount of light that pours into the kitchen window that says, it's time to start winding down, but there still enough time to do something wonderful! Thank-you Jesus for light and kitchen windows.

This baby got cream cheese on the bottom. You know you're special when you get cream cheese.
