Wayne is an extremely bright soul. Joy shines out of his face and you can’t help but catch it. You can see that he loves life and chooses to make the most of it. He is a dreamer and highly motivated. He is driven and naturally inspires others to find who they are, dream bigger and reach their goals. He’s kind, gentle, passionate and driven. He’s a belly full of laughter and lot of fun! He loves the outdoors and could never live in a city (I found my soulmate ;). He wants to have that dream place with a pond and animals out in the middle of nowhere. He trained horses for a good part of his teens and 20’s and is a dang good auctioneer – most of all he wants to make a meaningful impact and help people.
He’s not assuming. He’ll never tell anybody what to do and people come to him in trouble because they know he won’t judge them. He’s a landing place for people; no words need to be said. He has a world of history in his eyes that draws people to him without ever knowing his story.
In his own words, “I have to enjoy life!” “I have to have fun!” If he gets into a funk, it never lasts more than a few days because he doesn’t like feeling that way. This is a quality placed in him by the Lord to fight the battles he’s faced, starting when he was a child and lost his brother (one of many challenges) – but on most days you’ll find him with a smile on his face – loving life – He is resilient.
He’s an individual – one that can’t be put in a box; a mark that he’s had since he was a kid – and he needs to feel free. Every once in awhile someone comes along who understands the beat that he is dancing too and breathes life into him. He has crazy dreams and feels on fire when someone believes in him. Take him under your wing and you’ll find the most willing and teachable soul in the world.
He is exceptionally talented. Put him in a field and he’ll excel above the others, but is the hardest on himself. More than talent, he is terribly committed to accomplishing his goals. He’s a dreamer with the grit needed to actually reach them. He will be a forerunner one day for others who want to know how.
Spend an hour with him and he’ll breathe life into you, make you laugh and inspire you. Spend two and you’ll find a deep soul that cares about what’s important to you. Hang around longer – you’ll have a lifelong friend. Wayne is one of those good, eternally loyal, old souls.
And I am so glad I’ve got him.
