SEPTEMBER

// September is such a transitional month. One that I've grown to be thankful for it! If you're sad to see summer go, you can make September a continuation, if you can't wait for fall you can deem it apart of the season! It can go either way, still warm but strands of crisp autumn air start creeping in along with those beautiful fall rains.  More importantly though, I feel the need to put the busy things of summer aside, get my last beach days in and start preparing my heart and mind to slow down. Welcome September.

// For such a transitional month a transitional wardrobe is needed! I've created this special | September Issue | just for that including some inspiration from other bloggers on how they make this gradual change.

When autumn arrives, I don´t change all the brands in my wardrobe. I like to combine garments from summer, like summer dresses, with autumn garments, like leather boots.
— Maria Bernad
My ultimate essential during transition period is a nice biker or a denim jacket. You can easily throw them over your shoulders and they go nicely with airy summer dresses or skirts’n’kicks. Another staple that I can always rely on is a cozy cardigan; it’s the perfect piece for chilly late summer days.
— Vienna Wedekind
The main items I typically rely on to turn my wardrobe fall are more layers, interesting textures and darker colors. I love adding jackets, vests or a good chunky sweater (don’t we all) and playing with suedes or big knits or sometimes even fur. Then, the obvious one is wearing some darker colors. I love deep greens and charcoal blacks.
— Take Aim
My best tip to transition my wardrobe from summer to fall is through a staple denim style, like a good pair of boyfriend jeans or a denim culottes. It accommodates the changing weather and will both go together with light, Bohemian summer tops paired with delicate jewelry or chunky knits ready to take on autumn weather.

MY SEPTEMBER CHOICES

// I chose crisp white paired with a good pair of denim, a beige trench coat and some blue and white striped pieces, pulling from fall a little black and a camel leather vest and short boots.
